NFI was incorporated in the UK in 1993 and since that time have grown into a respected and knowledgeable supplier of fibre optic systems. We have a strong combined engineering background supported by globally experienced marine specialist personnel.
NFI delivered the very first non Furukawa fibre optic ship to shore link to ADGAS on Das Island UAE in 1995. Since then, NFI have directly supplied the system to approximately 20 LNG loading and unloading terminals together with a handful of LNG carriers. In addition to this, NFI's fibre optic components have been fitted to over 170 LNG Carriers by other contractors.
Whilst remaining 100% compatible with existing shore and ship installations, NFI have been continuously improving the design and build of the units and are now in a position to offer a much improved but still compatible variant of the system, built and supported entirely "in-house".
